Upload your GPS waypoints and routes in 4 easy steps:
- Login to your GPSWaypoint user account.
- Create waypoints/routes file:
Connect your GPS to the computer, transfer selected GPS routes/waypoints and store them in a file.
Alternatively you can open your favorite navigation/mapping software, select some GPS waypoints/routes
of interest and save them to a file. GPSWaypoint supports a variety of waypoints and routes file formats for
upload/download. Please consult FAQ page for more information on the file formats supported.
- Fill the upload form:
Select 'Waypoints->Upload' or 'Routes->Upload' in your personal menu.
Select the appropriate file format from the left drop-down list.
Select the category that best describes GPS waypoints/routes type in this file.
Select GPS symbol that feets waypoints in the file (optional).
Select visibility (public or private) of the GPS data uploaded.
Add link to the web page containing additional information about this GPS waypoints/routes (optional).
If you don't want the GPSWaypoint site to detect automatically country for the GPS waypoitns uploaded check the 'I'll manually select the Country for these waypoints' checkbox.
Click on the browse button and select the file to upload.
Submit the upload request.
- Edit and confirm uploaded waypoints/routes:
When upload completes GPSWaypoint will show you the list of all the GPS waypoints/routes it
found in the uploaded file.
Tick checkboxes for the items that you want to store in your personal account.
Use the 'Comment' field to add some descriptive comments for the waypoints.
When you are done press 'Confirm'. The information will be stored in your account.
You can browse now your uploaded GPS waypoints/routes using the 'List' link at your personal menu.
